Calderbank Brick Academy is a home for passionate learners of all ages, dedicated to fostering a deep appreciation for specialised education, pedagogy and research. Our courses are meticulously designed to ignite curiosity, engage minds, and inspire lifelong learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Meet Lee Calderbank - Founder, Teacher and Researcher:

After over a decade of experience as a teacher, Lee Calderbank decided to use some this expertise to found and establish Calderbank Brick Academy Ltd. 
 

With a a BA(Hons) in Archaeology, Lee continued building on this foundation, earning a PGCE(M) in Secondary History. Whilst starting his teaching career Lee next pursued a Masters in Education Research and Practice, further enhancing their pedagogical knowledge base. Currently, Lee is working within the data collection phase of a Doctorate in Education at the University of East Anglia, developing and collecting evidence for LEGO-Based pedagogical processes.

Specialising in Autism and Specialist Education:

Lee's journey in education has been deeply influenced by a passion for understanding and catering to diverse learning needs. Their specialisation in Autism and Specialist Education reflects a profound commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that every learner, regardless of their unique abilities, finds a welcoming and nurturing environment at Calderbank Brick Academy Ltd.

Passion for LEGO, Life in Norfolk, and Family:

Beyond the realm of academia, Lee is an avid lover of LEGO, recognising its potential as a powerful educational tool. His innovative approach incorporates this beloved building block into the learning experience, making lessons not only informative but also engaging.

Alongside his fiancé and their energetic border collie, Lee is working to create an online environment where education is not just a profession but also a hobby.
